Shelda and Neil were one of my very first wedding couples, and I was thrilled to bits when their family contacted me to arrange a portrait gift for them to use during their baby’s first year.  Shelda and Neil decided that celebrating the fall and Amelia’s first birthday would be the perfect time to use their gift certificate, and we couldn’t have chosen a better day or location.  We had so much fun wandering in Burlington’s Lowville Park and the weather was perfect.

Take a peek at adorable Miss Amelia!

I love photograph my growing families.  Melissa and I met when Lauren was first born, and most recently I was thrilled to photograph her new little brother Shaun.  Lauren’s almost three now – a bundle of energy with a personality that won’t quit.  I love planning Melissa’s sessions because she puts so much thought into what will work well with her little ones.  This time, just a simple family session in the park behind Tansley Woods.

Love it!!

I love being able to photograph Krista and her wonderful family every year — I can hardly believe it’s been over four years now since I did her first maternity photos.  The best part is getting to see how much these boys grow — so much personalty!!  🙂

And because everyone is asking — yes — I still have a few weekend dates available for outdoor family sessions into mid and end of November.  Those dates are going quickly, so you need to book as soon as possible to reserve your day.  This holiday season – treat your own family to the best gift of all — time spent together creating wonderful memories with a custom portrait session.

From the first time I met Paula and Adam, I knew just from their personalities with each other that their wedding was going to be romantic, and as Paula shared with me all the plans for their day, I knew it was absolutely fitting for both of them.

Quiet, simple, romantic — a day completely natural — just like the two of them.

They chose to share their day with close friends and family at the McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinberg, ON.  I hadn’t been to the McMichael in several years — but it was wonderful to revisit it again, and see the many changes that have been made.  If you’ve been, you know the gallery and exterior are a beautiful — such a natural extension of the Group of Seven artwork it’s most famous for featuring.  It’s a natural venue for art, and it made a perfect natural setting for a romantically organic day the way Paula had envisioned.

From their J Crew wedding outfits, to the nature inspired table settings and boutonnieres – DIY’d by their families, their day was so “Paula and Adam” throughout;  including the lemonade stand for their guests, and Adam – the avid photographer  – stopping the ceremony to photograph both his bride and the guests!

Many thanks to the staff of the McMichael for making this such a wonderful day to enjoy!
