As a professional wedding photographer, I like nothing better than to discover new venues and meet new people, but it’s always an honour to work with my previous clients and their extended families via referral. That’s just what I did with Jenny and Mark and their Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony and reception.
I had photographed Jenny’s sister Christine’s baby at her baptism several years ago, and when Jenny’s sister contacted me to say that her family wanted me to photograph Jenny’s Greek wedding I was absolutely over the moon.
Having photographed a number of Greek baptisms, I was excited to see a Greek wedding up close!
It was a wonderful wedding day beginning with bridal rituals at home, including the blessing of the wedding dress by Jenny’s sister.
Jenny and Mark opted to go to James Gardens in Toronto for a colourful backdrop to their family , wedding party and couples photos. Then it was off to Roma’s Hospitality Centre for reception fun that included a traditional money dance complete with a roasted pig.
