Tania and Thomas’ wedding day was windy, bright and sunny; a beautiful downtown Toronto day. Preparations began early with Tania and her girls getting ready at her light filled Toronto home. The blush colors she chose for her flowers and for the bridesmaids dresses matched her simple vintage bouquets of miniature pink roses and babies breath.
Once everyone was dressed, it was time to head over to the Distillery District to meet up with Thomas and his guys who were waiting for us. Thomas and Tania made plenty of time in their wedding day schedule to plan for a first look together prior to their ceremony. So when I met up with the guys, we still had enough time to put their finishing touches on their dressing, and to take photos together.
When Tania and her girls arrived, the guys ducked into a close restaurant to have a snack while I took some photos with Tania and her girls.
I just love this image of Tania waiting to surprise Thomas. It wasn’t at all what I had planned, but when I saw this image later it reminded me so much of the scene with Jack and Rose in Titanic, where he asks her to meet him at the stairway clock!
After their first look and some time for couples photos together, we met up with the wedding party for photos before the ceremony.
Then it was time to head over to the Rosewater Club for the ceremony. What a beautiful and historic Toronto wedding venue!
After the ceremony we went out again to take some quick photos in the street around the Rosewater Club. Tania made the perfect urban Toronto bride.
And she and Thomas made such a stunning couple together as we took photos in the street out front of the Rosewater Club.
Inside, their ceremony room was transformed with elegant tables decorated with large upright vases filled with more miniature pink roses and babies breath. As a gift, each guest received a bottle of olive oil, tied with their place setting card. As they arrived the guests took polaroid photos of themselves, and pasted them into a scrapbook where they could leave a message for the couple.
Instead of a traditional cake, Tania and Thomas chose to have only a sweet table. What a work of art!
Tania and Thomas – thank you both so much for letting me share your wedding day with you! I wish you a lifetime of happiness and a future filled with love!
