Cheongsam Wedding Dress Portrait Session | Oakville and Milton Wedding and Bridal Photography

I was so excited when Kristen shared with me that she would have a traditional Asian cheongsam made for her wedding.  After traveling to China a few years ago, I had seen so many images of lovely brides in their beautiful red dresses!

It was  a beautiful southern Ontario spring day for this session in Milton.  We started at the Mill Pond Park, and then went over to City Hall, where we found the prettiest gated gardens.  We were lucky enough to have blossoms out a bit later too, so even though they weren’t cherry blossoms, there was a huge old magnolia tree instead.

Kristen was stunning! Her cheongsam came directly from Hong Kong, custom made for her!  Although many of these dresses are traditional designs, her style draped in lace
with a cut-out back, is the best of modern western meeting traditional eastern style. I absolutely *love* this session, and I can’t wait for Kristen and Steven’s August wedding at Spencer’s in Burlington.
