Everyone knows at the wedding it’s all about the bride. Every one of my grooms knows that. It’s the way it’s always been. On the wedding day, we brides spend hours of time on our hair, our make-up, our dressing — we take our time and make sure every single detail is exactly in place.
Our guys on the other hand, can whip those suits and ties on in 15 minutes or less and be good to go — and I’ve seen them do it too!
Whenever I meet with my couples together, that’s probably the first thing that bonds us; one thing that’s still very much the same between weddings a few years back and weddings today; grooms-to-be who have been well trained in the art of ‘it’s all about the ladies’ on the wedding day.
I love it when guys come so well prepared for their wedding prep photos. I walked into Christina and Wouter’s home and found guys in morning coats, stylish accessories, and yes – even a personal pair of wooden shoes all the way from Holland. Which I tried on mind you — I always thought they’d be heavy – and uncomfortable — not so! — I was impressed.
And I was even more impressed that several of Wouter’s groomsmen came all the way from Holland to be there for him on his wedding day — I thought that was even more awesome than all the great accessories combined.
So as I work through Christina and Wouter’s photos from their beautiful wedding day a week ago, I thought I’d share these with you first.
More from Christina and Wouter’s wedding to come.
