Heide and Doug’s engagement session was one of my first real victims of this wintery spring we’ve had here in TO this year. Their original session was snowed out during the March 23rd storm, then our rescheduled session the week after was rained out when we paid a visit to their fabulous Mississauga wedding reception venue, The Old Barber House. It almost looked like this past Thursday was going to meet the same fate, but we headed to Confederation Park in Hamilton for photos along the beach anyway– and I’m so glad we did. We found wonderful waves along Confederation Park – kind of a rarity along Lake Ontario unless it’s a storm and the winds are in just the right direction. Wouldn’t you know, by the end of our session the blue skies had come out and the sun was shining brightly. So much for Toronto weather!
I absolutely love these first two images of Heide and Doug along the beach, and can’t get over how much they have that Cali coast feel with the waves and misty look along the shore.
Guys thanks so much for braving the wind, damp and cold — you’re both such troupers! Can’t wait for your wedding on April 30th!
