It feels like it’s been such a long winter , and I can’t wait for the weather to be pretty again so I can start arranging sessions outdoors again. Even though we live through at least 4 months of ‘too cold to really want to go outside’ weather here in Toronto and Southern Ontario, it doesn’t mean that in-home photography sessions don’t still happen. Especially when it comes to photos for milestone events, like first birthdays.
Remember when you book an indoor session with me, we need to have as big of a plan as when we schedule a photo session outdoors. All in-home photography is done with natural light, and an occasional reflector if needed, so the time of day we choose is key, and we’ll definitely plan for photos to take place in the room or rooms with the best light.
Staging is a must for every home (imcluding my own!) We’ll need to decide on pieces that can be moved around, moved out, or moved in to the areas. We may declutter, we may use blank walls. If it’s a family session, we’ll focus on activities that you all like to do together.
Don’t worry — that’s why I’m there to help you as much as possible, from room selection, to lighting, to wardrobe – I’m there for you as much in the pre-planning as I am in the editing of your photos. Helping you plan the ideal way to tell the story of your family is just one of the many things included in my custom photography services, and should be one of the main factors in choosing a boutique studio photographer.
So here’s just one quick image from this lovely indoor session with Catherine and her family. More to come….
